FAQs

ABOUT THE FREQUENCIES

Q: Are these sounds actually based on real brainwave frequencies?

A: Yes. Every REIDOS track is engineered around scientifically recognised brainwave ranges (Delta, Theta, Alpha, Beta, Gamma), as well as rare and symbolic frequencies like 1.618 Hz (Phi ratio), 7.83 Hz (Schumann resonance), and others used for research-grade entrainment.

Q: What’s the difference between binaural, isochronic, and bisochronic beats?

A: - Binaural beats use slightly different tones in each ear to create a perceived rhythmic beat.

- Isochronic tones are single-channel pulses that turn on and off at a set rate.

- Bisochronic™ (a REIDOS innovation) combines both—binaural and isochronic layers—to enhance neural synchronisation and psychoacoustic depth.

Q: Can I actually hear the frequency (like 4 Hz)?

A: Not directly—those are sub-audible cycles. What you hear are higher carrier tones modulated at that low frequency. Your brain perceives the rhythmic difference and responds accordingly.

AUDIO QUALITY & YOUTUBE COMPRESSION

Q: Does YouTube compress the sound quality of these frequencies?

A: YouTube does apply compression, but not in a way that removes the effect of the frequencies. The sine waves and harmonic structures are simple, low-complexity signals, so the essential phase and timing information that make entrainment work remain intact.

For maximum fidelity, REIDOS masters all uploads at 48 kHz / 320 kbps and tests playback to ensure entrainment accuracy.

Q: Should I use headphones or speakers?

A: Headphones are recommended for binaural or bisochronic tracks because they deliver the left-right phase difference precisely. Speakers are fine for isochronic or ambient layers designed for rooms, sleep, or background healing sessions.

AI & CREATION PROCESS

Q: Do you use AI to make these frequencies?

A: No. The frequencies themselves are mathematically generated and hand-designed inside REAPER using precise tone generators, filters, and modulation plugins—no AI is used to create the actual sound frequencies.

However, AI tools are sometimes used for visual artwork (thumbnails, background visuals, etc.) to match the theme of each track. All frequency structures and layering are engineered manually by REIDOS.

Q: Are these scientifically proven to work?

A: The underlying principles (entrainment, resonance, phase synchronisation) are backed by decades of research in neuroscience and psychoacoustics. REIDOS builds upon these foundations with precise mathematical design—but results vary by listener, intent, and consistency of use.

USAGE & EXPERIENCE

Q: How often should I listen to get results?

A: Consistency matters more than volume. Many users benefit from daily sessions—10 to 30 minutes for focus or meditation, or full-night loops for sleep and deep healing.

Q: Is it safe to listen while sleeping?

A: Yes. All tracks are non-invasive and designed for safe, continuous playback. Just keep the volume moderate.

Q: Can I mix these with other music?

A: You can, but the entrainment effect may weaken if other music introduces clashing rhythms or detuned frequencies. REIDOS tracks are already harmonically balanced for full-spectrum resonance.

BRAND & PHILOSOPHY

Q: What does REIDOS mean?

A: My name is Reid and REIDOS is simply my nickname. It’s become the identity behind everything I create — a personal signature representing the fusion of sound, frequency, and emotion that defines my work.

Q: Why are some frequencies so unusual?

A: REIDOS explores both clinically studied and mathematically rare frequencies—like 0.618 Hz (inverse Phi) or 17.77 Hz (magnetar simulation)—to push the frontier of sonic healing and brainwave entrainment.
